Beadles Cottage
Beadles Cottage sits on a quiet street in the centre of Blairgowrie, just a short walk from cafés, restaurants, shops, and local transport. The cottage is part of a conservation area and has more than a century of history. Originally linked to the old church grounds, it was once the home of the church Beadle, the caretaker responsible for looking after the church and greeting visitors who entered through what used to be the back‑garden gate. Built in the early 1900s, the cottage still features its original stonework and traditional architecture, all maintained in line with heritage guidelines. During renovation, the original metal railings and front fencing were restored to match their appearance from over 100 years ago, keeping the cottage’s character intact.
Inside, the cottage has been updated to offer a comfortable and practical space while retaining its period charm. The layout works well for families or small groups, with a warm living area, a well‑equipped kitchen, and thoughtful touches throughout. The mix of original features and modern finishes gives the cottage a relaxed, homely feel.
One of the highlights is the private, enclosed garden at the rear of the property. Surrounded by the original stone walls and restored iron railings, it feels surprisingly peaceful for such a central location. The outdoor space includes a dining area, BBQ, and soft lighting for evenings outside, making it a good spot for meals, reading, or simply unwinding. The garden is fully secure, providing a safe area for children and dogs.
Beadles Cottage offers a convenient base for exploring Blairgowrie and the wider Perthshire area, with walking routes, local attractions, and amenities all close by.

The town is known for its long connection to soft‑fruit growing, particularly raspberries, and continues to be linked to local produce and outdoor activities. Blairgowrie has supermarkets, independent shops, cafés, and places to eat within a compact town centre, making it easy for visitors to get what they need during their stay.
